Reading resources offering their services during the school closures period.Â
Benchmark – Students can access the online ebooks from their Clever>Benchmark accounts.
Studies Weekly – Register and you’ll have access to a lot of reading materials.
Epic! – New Epic teachers must create their free educator account, upload their rosters, and send the Remote Student Access invitation to their students’ families or you can post your Epic code to your Google Classroom and students can join your class. The benefit to having your own class is that you can see what they’re reading vs using the school’s general login.
Scholastic – Students can access their whole offering.
Tumble Books – Can be added to your Clever library through Clever.
Newsela – Students can access the online ebooks from their Clever>Newsela
Listenwise – Owned by NPR and for older students mostly, but there are some great stories that will work for everyone. You have to request access, but it’s a great service.
Kids Listen – Podcasts for kids.
This page mostly helps my fellow teachers at PVUSD, but others will find useful links to great resource here too… just follow the links.
I hope this is helpful! I’ll be adding more resources soon, so check back. Follow me on Twitter to stay updated @bobbiegrennier.
